Reid Surface grinder info wanted

I have stumbled across a Reid 618V surface grinder-cheap! It has a 6x18 B&S mag chuck which works well and the machine is in good condition other than having a coat of really ugly robin-egg blue paint that looks like it was broom applied. Does anyone have any info or know anything about this machine?

I looked at a similar Reid before buying the Delta (smaller machine for a smaller space). My understanding is the table is supported on bearing balls, and the machine I looked at was not smooth in the left-to-right movement because of wear in the balls or ways.

This one is smooth when it runs back and forth. Does $250 sound reasonable?

Yeah, seller wanted $750 for the bumpy-table model! The mag chuck by itself would bring $75 - $150 on eBay. What are you doing reading this, GO GET IT.
