Considering cost, machineability and only general purpose (read none exotic) applications, what is your favorite plastic to work with (turning, milling and drilling)?

Graphite filled nylon is nice to work with but it can be hard to find.

I like working with Delrin as it cuts cleaner chips than other plastics. Maybe it's just the way I sharpen tooling but I get a pretty good finish with a minimal anount of "hair" off it. I did have to work with some stuff called Torlon once and it ate HSS, nasty stuff.

HDPE. Saws easily with a woodcutting bandsaw or chopsaw. Only problem turning it is that you have to hand pull the spiral coming off the cutter -- not a single chipbreaker will work on this. Bores like a dream, with extremely fine surface finish.

My wife loves JC Penneys and masterCard.

I like Delrin.

PVC. But it looks like I'll have to learn more about acetal.
