Found this site that lists a load of school photo's that have been collected and stored.
Unlike Friends united this service is free and you don't have to register.
Cool - it has my class photo's - try yours http://www.worldschoolphotographs.com/

Is it better than classmates.com? My wife tried classmates and found some old friends.

Thanks John. I think this has got to be the most elaborate prank-type site that I've seen. Pictures, detailed questions that actually seem real. Most look like they've been thrown together during someone's lunch break.

I was amazed that for my rather arcane school, location and year, the search actually found both a group shot and an individual shot. My mother always told me I was handsome back then http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//wink.gif

I knew it was a put-on from the get-go. For starters, the camera hadn't been
invented when John was of school age. In fact, I don't think schools had been
invented. Secondly, there's the gross improbability that anyone as rascally
as John would be tolerated in school long enough to reach graduation.

That's a downright lie.

I did go to school, it was a good school, in fact it was approved by HM Goverment http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif

I even have a diploma somewhere, I'll look it out.

My elder Brother studied knitting at school - true.

When I graduated, as I recall, they gave me a cheap suit and $10.00.

The class pics were sorta un-interesting, and the sports program was fairly poor.

The class subjects were very unusual, but had a lot of practical application. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif

I guess it has been too long I recognize my pic but I am not sure about the friends

More than likely His Majesty's school for cynical traders in Dartmoor. Which
Majesty would that be? Alfred or Canute?

An elder brother? Crikey, that's a scary thought. Next thing you'll be
telling us that he's the ugly one.
