Not sure if this is the best forum to make this posting but, I have an Atlas 12" lathe Milling Attachment (no.500A)in excellent
original condition I would be willing to part with in exchange for an
Atlas Collet Chuck closer and set of collets in like condition. I
have not yet found a use for the Mill attachment as I have a separate
mill and I'm really in need of a good collet closer for this lathe.

There are no damaging tool marks at all and other than some
degradation of paint along a couple of edges, as would be expected
from a tool laying around in a shop for 50 years, no evidence that
this has ever been used. I will send photographs to anyone seriously
interested. Contact me at boondocker1 at comcast dot net, or this
Yahoo station.

Thanks

Jerry Crawford, Ft. Collins CO

Jerry,

Is it safe to assume you no longer have the milling attachment?

Before you get a "too small" collet set you might do what I did years ago, Make a 5c collet holder for the atlas it was in a 10 year old hsm or pim, much better much cheaper.
