Alistair,
Evan's probably right that they don't exist anymore - see http://www.lathes.co.uk/wade%20cva/index.html
If this is the same company, of course.
Lathes from 1922 until the late 1930's? Long time ago...
IanAll of the gear, no idea...

First off Drongo is it CVA or CAV.
CVA were machine tool builders, CAV were diesel injection manufacturers
CVA's kept going into the late 60's, I believe they finished up as part of Kerney and Trecker.
If it's CAV you might have an injector needle grinder
I'll have a look thru some old trade mags of that period.

Oh just reread the original post and realised it Alistair doing the looking, tough **** mate

Was it the same CAV who made the little lathes as the injection equipment?
The injection equipment people joined up with the Prince of Darkness at some stage, if my memory serves me right it was CA Vandervell, started by the same wealthy entrepreneur who was responsible for Vandervell racing cars and engine bearings. But then again my memory might serve me wrong, it often does. They certainly had strong links with Bosch prior to WWII, these links of course ended in 1939.
