There are the pictures, materiel list and write up.. The pictures are available if you sign into the cnc section.

Much easier to post projects there. No fumbling of files and posting them, deleting them, etc.

I got it about %75 so far Uses roller skate wheels to carry the load.

Materiel list so far,

2pc 2" light channel iron 1/8 x 60" 'frame, long wise trolley
4pc 3" inline skateboard wheels "trolley wheels
2pc 1" x .125 wall round tubing 'cross spacers
2pc 3/8" threaded rod 'cross tension bolt
4pc 3/8" nuts 'tension nuts
8pc 1/4"x1" bolts 'UHMW to slide hardware
2pc 4"x4"x1/4 aluminum plate 'stepper/bearing mounts
1pc acme rod x 30" long 'cross slide screw
1 Acme nut 'cross slide nut
1 block UHMW/teflon grey 4x4x4 'cross slide traveler
4 blocks UHMW white 1"x1/2"x3.5" 'steering blocks for centering trolley
2 Gecko 202 drives
2 Vexta 115 oz stepper motors
2 opto22 breakout boards
4 opto22 modules *(drive pulse)
2 opto22 limit switchin inputs
2 opto22 torch activation relay outputs
2 chromed rods from old plotter.
12 1/4" bolts Rod end alignment bolts.

About six hours so far, I have the trolleys made, the channel cut, the cross tension rods and threaded rods cut and installed. I cut apart a old plotter and stole the chromed shafts the pen used to slide on. Cut them down in the lathe to 30"

Main trolleys (X) will roll on skateboard wheels, UHMW steering bumpers stick in to slide on channel to keep centered and down tight against channel edge. SUspended underneath is the two chrome rods w/UHMW slide to carry torches. So far everything is super slick and no binding yet. I have not tightened up anything yet, letting it roll back and forth to align itself. I had to polish the inside of the traveler to stop it from dragging and sticking.

Not sure yet, whether to turn it up vertical and put it on wheels or let it Fold down from a beam in my shop. If it goes vertical it has to have a counterweight to balance load on X-motor so gravity don't play heck with my tuning.

Target speed 120ipm+.

Unfortunatly, I forgot to enable attachments for public viewing in some of the forums.

I've now made file attachments on all fourms publicly visible so if you didn't see Dave's pictures before, you should be able to see them now.

Dave, Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

IO, I promise I'll email you the first running pictures.. Okay..? It's at 75% now. I missdrilled the holes in the alignment rods and quit to work on the spotwelder. I got a plan to cylinder-automate it with the computer I can time the weld in microseconds.

IO:

One son is making grandbabies. He needs help, All he is thinking is "ohh" ain't she purty without her clothes. She, like a praying mantis is enclosing him in her grip. (eating his head will come later) Niether have HS diplomas. His mom rescued him from my care before he got his. Long story.

My Daughters mother? she fired the state of Tennessee/and thier collection contractors. I don't have child support through the state. I am paying my share and keeping the cancelled checks. I was overpaid and they blackmarked my credit, kept harrassing/aggravating me. Turns out them brackets around the amount meant something.. a positive balance. The Judge told me "that money is just gone".. yeah right.

My daughter needs the same rescue. Attorney has not updated me a in a while about that case. I even let her paint her room here Purple.
