You can't "correctly" sharpen this type of cutter with "manual" type equipment, they can be sort of sharpened by grinding the flute next to the guide finger but when you get around to the last flute the finger goes into an already sharpened one and that changes the amount taken off of the last flute. That said it will sort of work but they never seem to cut as good as a new cutter. You need a grinding machine that has a "helix" attachment ,or a CNC machine which is what the makers now use.If you want to try you'll need to use a narrow wheel with a radius to match reasonable close the radius in the flutes of your cutter. The wheel spindle will need to be set to match the cutters helix angle ,pay close attention to the hook on the cutting edge so that you don't make the cutting edge a negative angle. You can some times find the helix angle marked on the shank of the cutter but not always. If you try this you might want to start with a large cutter to get some practice.
