I just got a September MSC small catalog in the mail. On page 6 they show a 20 piece set of import TiN Coated HSS Single End Mill Set for $49.95. They are 10 2 flute and 10 4 flute. Sized 3/16 to 3/4. It looks like the exact same set I paid $79.00 for from Harbor Freight. I'm wondering if this set has been seen any cheaper anywhere else?

Check with Penn tool company. I bought a set from them and they do a good job for the money. I cut mostly aluminum and mild steel.

I found what appears to be the same set of 20 cutters. Their item number is 51-480-2 but they want $82.00 for it !

Enco currently has them for $42.95 and you can probably get free shipping as well.

Take a look at the Enco Hot Deals flyer that just came out. They had a 20-pc set, and I'm pretty sure it was less than any of the above.

As a side note: Some may already know this... to some this maybe new info. Harbor Frieght will price match. I took my MSC catalog to harbor frieght and I got the 20 pcs cutter set for 49.95.

Well if I had the Enco sale flier last week I would of used it... but all I had at that time was the August MSC one and was happy to save $30.00 bucks. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//smile.gif And that was the first time I'd seen any cutter at HF. I think they said they just had got them in... for all I know that was the only set they had at the store. Good thing I had the flier in the car. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//wink.gif

Tinker, thanks! That should save me shipping charges! I'll buy another set as I've had pretty good luck with the first set. I abused them pretty good as I have no mill experiance and only one broke and all still cut very well.

Penn tool used to match any price, email them. They had free shipping deal going last month too.
