Nice one Pops,
Hang in there till she gets married and you will have done the full job. Got nine and only one boy. The eldest is twenty two and the youngest is one year.
All different people in themselves but show more than enough of their parents.
You cannot switch them off at the wall and go for a coffee. Get slick with nappy changing and bottle warming. If its not one end its the other. Clean nappy or a bottle will see you well out of trouble.
Enjoy one of the truly great events of your life.
Regards,
bobby.

ibew,
I forgot to tell you the most important thing. Talk to the little darling. It really is surprising how much reaction you get from a newborn if you talk to them just as you would to anyone else. I know you feel stupid but it really does work.
go for it,
bobby.

Good for you Dave!! BIG congrats!! http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//smile.gif http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//smile.gif Howdya do it ??? http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif
I agree with Bobby. I have always thought it to be better for the child to teach it the language and not inane adult gibberish ; soothing sounds are another matter though.
I have yet to experience grandparenthood but when it happens I`ll be ready, afterall I made all my mistakes with their parents didn`t I. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif Stay well Dave and all the best to your missus, your son and his family also.
Ken
