I have a complete set of 5c collets for my headstock of my lathe, and a set of E R 32 collets and collet chucks for my milling machine.I recently saw a Morse taper 3 fitting E R 32 collet holder obviously designed for a milling machine but I bought it after discussing it with a friend as I Have a Morse taper 3 fitting in my lathe tailstock, and I sometimes use milling slot mills in my lathe to start of a hole to be bored out does anyone else do this or have this set up as I think if nothing else it doubles up the facilities of the milling collets in terms of useage .Alistair

Not quite the same but I made new spindle for my tailstock with a 1 1/2 X 8 thread so that I can use my chucks the same way you are using the collets. This way I can use large end mills to drill flat bottomed holes. Don't use it often but comes in handy at times. John
