If you don't need huge quantities, take a look at Flinn scientific and other chemical companies. It'll be pure and you can get sizeable amounts in different coarseness, but it'll probably cost you a little more than some sources since its pure

Don't know how corse you want it, but if you go to a auto brake repair facility, they have
loads of cast iron dust and particles in their brake disk lathes...and its free.

Please forgive my newbieness, but why would anybody want powdered iron (or anything else?)
It's used in forge welding by mixing it in the flux.
