These are a set of Craftsman, short (3") files with a shank around 1/4" They cut on the "pull" stroke. What does B.F. and the 00 cut mean? Are these things for a die filer? They seem similar to what Delta lists as files for their old 24" scroll saw. Den

B.F. more than likely stands for bastard type file.

Not sure what 00 is for tho.

#00 is the coarsest file in Swiss pattern files. That short I would guess they are for a die profiler or air filer.
