I am thinking of purchasing a horizontal mill in the near future. However to get it into my shop I'll have to remove the table.
The mill is made by Pederson, and is a #2 size with power feed. Would it be a major operation to remove the table? I've removed the table on an old Gorton once and it wsn't that difficult, would this be more of a challenge? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

If the ball (nut) has ball bearings DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT remove the ball (nut) from the screw. Remove the two of them (screw and ball) as one piece.

..sounds (reads) like the voice of experience speaking.

Yeah, well.... It is said Experience and Money are inversely proportional. You can have the Money or you can have the Experience. Or you can listen to good advise and follow it. Let's just say that if one were foolish enough to separate the Ball (with bearings) from the Screw they will gain the Experience side of this equation and lose the Money side of it.
