A while back, maybe a year, someone was looking for a book on boilers. One of the books that came up was ‘Model Boilers and Boilermaking’ by K.N.Harris. I stumbled on a copy in the UK if they are still intrested.

They are still being printed and some of them are updated. by both Tee Publications and Others. they were for sale at the last NAMES show by a number of dealers. Also you can get them thru www.Powells.com (http://www.Powells.com) A very large used and new book seller even before the internet. Plus they have others, most of them in stock. Also check www.amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com) they will have numerous copies. and some of the other used bookdealers on the net.

Ivan Law also published one.
No, I don't have a copy but what should be available is the Repair of Vehicle Bodies by Alan Robinson. I would suppose that my mentor may have passed away but his book includes much on welding, soldering and the like. My check with Google suggests that copies are still available. Alan wrote it for his students here on Tyneside. It contains nothing fancy but Alan was a very real lecturer.
Buy it, and like me, learn a lot.
