    Drilling/Tapping

I read a tip for tapping/drilling in Brownell's "Gunsmith Kinks". It said they coated the drill with Permatex 300 and was able to drill through 3/8" leaf spring easily without dulling the drill.

Has anyone here ever tried this and if so how well did it work for you?

I know Permatex but not 300. What is it? Valve grinding compound?

Mike, It's been a long time since I read the Kink's book, but I think Brownells worked out a deal to relabel it and sell it as a product called DoDrill. You might check their catalog. James
