Though I posted to it also, the "Why I don't post here/Taking My toys and going home "thread is now missing.
So it appears Neil does moderate,I had no doubt.

And too gutless to post in the thread so delete's it....

You can delete my username from the registry I have no more use for it here now, if this is how this forum is run..

I've put my time in on the shop floor and know what kind of banter can go on. Most of the chiding is light-hearted and breaks up a boring (pardon the pun) afternoon. When things get vicious, I'll delete them. We do not need that kind of interaction.

As much as I'd like to actively participate in board discussions, I have a lot of other things that are more pressing so I post when I can.

And... when posts go vulgar, they'll go in the dumper.

For crying out loud, Wolfie is talking about D.Thomas. Dave knew who wolfie was talking about and was egging him on, LOL.
I've never posted at Daves forum so have no first hand expirience of his moderating methods, just by what I hear from others.

Well I've just had a reply back from Neil and because he's not available during a weekend period to moderate this group I have taken over weekend moderation for him.

This means no political or religious posts.
No name calling, bad language or other posts that can detract from the correct use of this group.

If anyone gets banned it's up to Neil to reinstate them.
You have been warned.

Sir John.

It is refreshing to see that someone has the concern and interest to offer a solution rather than to add to the problem.

Everyone on this Forum knows that I am like a delicate flower, and even though I am not beautiful, I am too scarred to be sensitive, have long since given up on mental challenges, and have no machining skills worth mentioning. On this Forum, everyone (except for all those mean trolls) treat me accordingly. They know that I will weep profusely if they ever even remotely tread on my last vestige of self-esteem! I certainly wish all the best to this board! It would be a shame to see what I think as Rudy's "legacy" vanish from the web. Should that horrendous fate, however, occur, please give me some time to develop some friends of my own on this Forum before you bring your many friends over. In two months on this Forum, I don't have ANY friends yet but I have hopes for as many as TWO. The problem is that one of them is a Canadian who wears a phoney wax mustache and the other is an English man who insists on wearing thongs in public! You John Stevenson, who has risen to the top of my (admittedly short), list of machinist friends (most of the others must have gone to Australia or somewhere similar, as, last I spoke with them they were chanting something about “bush”?), might have noticed my attitude of rapt attention whenever you have posted here, and acknowledged me in some way.

------------------
Today I will gladly share my experience and advice, for there no sweeter words than "I told you so."
