I have a taig lathe. It is a good little machine, but keep in mind that it is little.
I don't use the taig any longer because I
find a Atlas 12x36 about a year ago and I love it.
I don't know about their mill, but they did
redesign the column to be more rigid.
I would buy another taig before I would
buy a Grizzly mini mill or a 7x10 lathe from
horrible freight.
The machines are accurate. If you dial in .005 the machine will cut .005. Not like the
imports with their metric screws and dials
for inches. That is not a good setup.
Have you found Nick Carters web site. He sells taig machines and I bought everything from him and am very satified customer.
Loads of information on his web site.
I don't remember the url now but go to Yahoo and do a search for "taig lathe". He is high
on top of the list.
