DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE ANY GOOD PLANS FOR A MANUAL TUBING BENDER THAT I COULD BUILD? SOMETHING THAT WILL BEND SQUARE TUBING AS WELL AS ROUND. I,M TO LAZY TO CRUNCH ALL THE NUMBERS MYSELF !

Vince...soryy I can't help you with your tubing bender project, but if I could make a suggestion....The Networking forum has less than 200 posts, the General an Third hand each have over 1000. Shows what most people go to. Try re-posting your question in one of those area and you'll likely get gobs of answers. Probably from Thrud...he knows everything.

Vince Gingery has a book "How to build a pipe bending machine" I haven't read it but it could be what you need. Lindsay (www.lindsaybks.com) lists it (and a LOT of other stuff)

Not much to one, unless you mack mandrels for smooth bends. A big hinged lever, a stop block, and a roller on the lever against the pipe - plans, you don't need no stinkin' plans, fake it! ;-) The back of HSM has a vendor that sells those things cheap, check it out.
