I didn't know Illinois had valleys. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//smile.gif ... maybe shallow depressions. But I guess I've just never been to that part.

Well. If you stand stand on your tip-toes you can see over the top, but here thats considered a valley.I most other places in the world it would most properly be called a ditch.

Where in the Fox Valley are you? I lived in Round Lake area, now in the southern Fox Valley near Aurora.

Hey guys, I know the area well. used to work in St. Charles and Batavia. I just retired from Fermilab in Dec. after 20 years. Now hibernating in the basement shop in Leland,IL. I've been looking for work to get out of the house and suppliment the retirement, but not much going on out there now. Beside the fact of who needs an old tool&die maker. Rebel49
