I bought a SAKAI ML-360 several years ago and am very pleased with it. I am concerned about replacement parts and accessories since they left the USA. Does anyone know of a supplier for such? I'm too new at this to thhink about making my own replacements.

do a search on the thomas register http://www.thomasregister.com/ or the Thomas Global register http://www.tgrnet.com/ using the make or model number - you should be able to find a distributor or the manufacturer that way.
Good Luck!

Thomas Register
The Thomas Register is one of the first sources I check at for products at work, but it has no reference to SAKAI machine tools. Thanks, anyway.

Sorry for the lapse of intellect - I just remembered about your machine - it is no longer made as far as I know. I believe that the company that sells Rudy Kouhoupt's videos at one time sold them, you could check that out. Ifyou do not have a Copy of HSM or MW pick one up and look throught the ads, you should be able to find it - If not Email Neil (BBS Moderator & Editor of both magazines) he should be able to tell you.

I seem to recall mention in a HSM or MW magazine a couple or so years back, to the effect that while still produced, the Sakai would not be marketed in Nth America. ...maybe they have discontinued production altogether since then.
One of the dangers of jumping on to a new product I guess.
I Understood that they did not want to keep up with a low volume english (vs metric) type. So they just withdrew it from the market in US.
I think you can get it in Europe still.
Try "googling" it and see what you come up with.
