Anyone have info on designing dies for a rolling mill? I've only found brief notes in some of Lindsay's books. I need allowances for depth, neutral axis for non-ferrous and forming limits without anneal. I want to design a rolling mill with 2 to 4" width & up to 16 ga. capacity, deep forming in copper & soft brass. Would buy books if I knew what & where. Thanks, Jerry

I'm not sure if this will be helpful, but a book called Sheetmetal Fabrication by Ron Fornier;Shows how to make rolling dies with a lath that is used for sheetmetal beads.I think you can find this book at Amazon books.

Most of the jewlery supply catalogs have this type of machine perhaps you could find enough info in one of their books, Reo Grand is the one I use but if you want to look at this for an answer let me know and I will find some addresses for you.
