I have Clausing 10 lathe that the clutch has not worked since I bought it. While I am putting new bearings in it I would to find any info on how the break should have been setup. Any info would be a great deal of help. The only number I can find is DL249
it seems to be some where around the 1950'S
vintage.

Have you tried contacting Clausing for a manual?

Their web address (I think) is:

www.clausing-industrial.com (http://www.clausing-industrial.com)

Call Service at (219) 533-0371 - they take credit cards and usually ship pretty quickly.
