Hi - 6 x 10 - thats funny.. I run a Lucas Floor Mill - 25 ' travel in x axis and 9' in the y axis. The table is stationary and the machine runs back and forth on a set of ways via a gear rack. Spindle diameter is 7" with about 8' travel in and out.. The machine - so I'm told is one of two made by lucas..

The shop where I work as the lead mill hand is a stamping press repair company, the job i'm running right now is rolling bolster plate - 134" x 84" x 15" - pretty good size chunk of metal. the majority of the work I do is in excess of 15 tons..

I also run a cinninati VTL with a 100" swing. The table - or chuck - is 84" in diameter..

of course.. ya- I started out on a bridgeport and now this.. I've been running this one for four years now. Not really that much differnt than a smaller machine, just takes a bit more planning.
