I have a drawning i am trying to figure out.At one point it has a DP by a 1/4 measurment. I do not know what the DP stands for.Is there a book that would show abbrreviations terms? Or a web site that might help.If any body would like to see the drawning for clarity please email me and i can send it to you.
Thanks

millerman,
Conventions are different in various industries, but could it mean 'deep', like an X" dia. hole 1/4" deep?
Or, could you tell us what feature the 1/4" applies to?

dp on a drawing usually means "deep" as in depth of a hole. Could possibly be Diametral Pitch I suppose but not likely.
