Does anyone know where I can purchase vulcanized hard rubber in rod form? I've been scavenging pipe stems over the years, but I'd rather just buy it in rods.
Thanks,
Michael

Just to add to that I am looking for 1/4 inch diameter rubber balls if anyone knows.

McMaster lists some 20+ pages of rubbers. This includes rods and balls.

Pipe stems are inexpensive. Google "pipe stems" and they are available for less than five dollars. What you want (i think) is vulcanite, straight, 1/4 bent, 1/2 bent etc. I have been known to bite them too hard and have to replace. Some pipe shops carry them but they are too expensive. So far as I know, the shank fittings of manufactured pipes are of one standard size.
