I'm not sure I understand what you have. You have a D1-5 chuck mounted to a L0 back plate? I have not seen an adapter that will do such. Or do you have a chuck mounted to a L0 back plate? There are spindle adapters that will serve that purpose. Take off the L0 back plate and replace it with a D1-4. They are not cheap. If you are looking to make the chuck a direct mount, not using a spindle adapter, I doubt it. A D1-5 spindle has a nose diameter of 5 3/4" whereas a D1-4 has a nose diameter of 4 5/8".

Can a D1-5 8" 6 jaw buck chuck with a detachable LO back plate be converted to a D1-4?
