What size collets does the Logan-made Montgomery Ward Power Kraft lathe use?

If th espindle has a 3Morse taper it would be a 3C with an adapter. 3C goes to 1/2" round. You can use the 3 Morse also but then do not have the through hole. John

Thanks, John, I was looking for some way to hold some Stainless Steel rods to machine threads on them for piston rods without having to fiddle with trueing them up in the 4 jaw chuch with a TDI.

Actually, Logan supplied 3AT, same as Atlas. But either will fit, if the drawbar is right. The same spindle size in SB used 3C (often actually labeled 3SB). I have a 3C adapter setup, cuz there do seem to be more 3C sources and collets around.

The two have small differences in threading, and larger differences in length, closer angle, and I think body diameter.

Since I have to make the drawbar, closer, nosepiece anyhow, I think I will consider 3C instead of 3AT. Thanks for the info!!

You can get complete dimensions at

I used them to make a closer and drawbar setup for my Logan 200, and it fit the collets first time.
