As an experienced fly fisher and very amateur machinist, I am interesting in obtaining plans for different types of fly tying vises. Does anybody know if there is something like this out there?

I don't know of any Walt. Sounds like a dandy project however. I once considered it myself but it seemed like too much work when you can buy them cheap. I've noticed they're not so cheap nowadays! Downright ridiculous in fact.
BTW you'll want hardened jaws on that vise.

Thanks! I would appreciate any suggestions. Like I said, I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to machining, but I have made some things. I'm interested in any rotary design, where the hook can be truely turned on its axis(similar to a Regal or Renzetti). I would consider other designs as well.
