Trav a dial

Anybody out there ever take one of the older style (grey) trav a dials apart? I have one that need to be cleaned badly and also needs the lens replaced. I am trying to get the face/dial off to try to clean the face which is filthy due to the lens being gone. I contacted SWI, but they don't service or sell parts for these anymore.
The face hides two of the six screws that hold the two halves of the body together, but I can't figure out how the heck you get the face off.

Thanks for the tip. I figured out how to disassemble it after posting my question (you have to pop the dial face out to get to the last two screws). I'll check the article for info about "tuning it up".
