    New board software

As expected, the new look is not as nice as the old one. the background for the messages is harder on the eyes, the wide margins make the message take up more vertical space on the screen, the pictures are gone.

It may be OK, but I liked the old one better.

I dont like the format either, too much wasted space. I prefer the KISS method.

It seems to be the updated version of the same exact software that chased all the users away form the old Chaski site......

They lost all their picture links also. I assume everything pic-wise that has been posted previously is completely wiped out?

Looks like we might be losing 30 or 40% of the users soon, hate to see it, but that's the lesson of history.

The IMG tag is just turned off. The links are all still there. It's up to Neil to turn on the IMG tag.

And you can still get at them by just clicking on them. That's much better than what happened at Chaski.....

And those folks actually run a IP service, you'd think they would know how to do what was done here.

Still wish there were more posts per page......

I agree. This format wastes way too much space, and posts are more difficult to read.

The header alone takes up more than 1/3 of my laptop screen.

AT least I Can POST ransom notes NOW.

I just noticed something very irritating. If you don't access the BBS for a short while it logs you off. The session cookie must be set to expire in a very short time .

                        NEIL!!!

Also, I can't easily change the font size when I edit.

Also, the default font size is 1 which is way too small. It needs to be set to 3.

Yeah, I don't like this layout. The old one was much nicer. The nasty brown color...the wasted space. Bring back the old look.

For those of you who do not like things as they are, click on the User CP (control panel) link above and piddle with your settings. These will not put things back as they were, but do give you a handle on some things like the number of postings shown per-page...which was one of my gripes.

It's gonna take a little getting used to, granted.
