Was thinking of converting the old ford 3/4 ton pickup to a dump box. Have any of you done this and whats the best way to go about it. I have to mount a new box this summer on the old ford and the thought of all that shovelling of topsoil to make the wifes garden and uneven lawn happy again. Then suddenly aha a dump type box conversion. What do you think. Thanx

Remember seeing a conversion about 20 yrs. ago, in Mother Earth News. Looked pretty sturdy at the time. I'm sure there are lots more by now.

Here's an example of one that you can buy. I'd do an Internet search, when you find one, ask the company that makes them to send you some information. Take a look at it and get some ideas of what's needed. Then... either make one or buy one.

Evan it doesnt have brakes. Its a standard just leave in gear and turn ignition off.
