I bought a Delta 40570 406mm Variable Speed Scroll Saw I have a few Delta tools and am impressed with them as well as porter cable etc etc does anyone have this model I had the choice in the UK of two a smaller one and this I think this will be a nice unit and worth the extra money.I am always happy with American stuff as it seems well made,so far with my purchases anyway.Alistair

Maybe so Mark but they are not generally regarded here as a common British buy and are at least thought of as American.Alistair

In the 60`s, when I was in my teens, I recall seeing products made in USA not U.S.A. Was that a place named USA in Japan? :confused:

I've heard before there's a town in China called USA. had to be ten or so years ago...but I also heard the same for Korea. Go figure.

Way to go! Years ago we bought products that said "made in USA" then people lost their loyalty & bought what they wanted now you have to buy from American companies. Doesn't mean it's made on our soil anymore but the money comes here. That 's the only way we can remain strong. If the demand is there they'll build plants here create jobs & oh, by the way we can compete with the Asians. see it every day, just hire a manager that came from the shop floor.
