I need another forklift here at the dealership. Currently have (1) Rough terrain 6000#, and (1) 3000# Front end loader on tractor. There's a Cat 110 forklift, 11,000# cap., sideshift, 3 stage mast, on a local auction next week. Has anyone here had any experience with a Cat 110?, if so, I would appreciate any info (pros, cons, etc). I would sure hate to buy it if they are problem laden, on the other hand, i would sure hate to pass on a good local forklift. Thanks in advance, cecil

You say it's a Cat 110? What year is the machine,they make a V110,but that is a 25k lift.
I don't have too much experience with Cat forklifts, mainly because they use too many proprietary parts.
If I had my choice it would be Taylor,Hyster,Case or JD
Taylor and Hyster use a lot of truck and tractor parts which are easy to find,Case and JD are also based looselt on the're respective tractors and backhoes.
It's a shame you weren't here a couple weeks ago,I saw a Taylor 25,000lb lift,rough terrian,Detroit power sell at auction for $6250.00.
Meanwhile they had a racked out Cat 80 that sold for $16,000

Wow...I might have wanted that Taylor ! Local municipal auction this Saturday advertised a 40,000 lb forklift and I got kinda excited but I kept thinking "now what in gawds name would Beaufort County be doing with a 40K forklift ?" Sure enough, called the auctioneer and it was a misprint....one too many zeros !

Weird: Yep, its definately a 110 and 11,000# according to the ser# plate. There's also a V80D on the sale but its a 8000# according to the ser# plate. Do not know the year, yet.
Don: Had that Taylor been anywhere in the Carolinas there would have been another bidder at that auction. Do not really want a Detroit powered unit, but, if it was in good shape, i could live with it.
