second one is up the road 15 or so miles never heard of the outfit selling it but with the shop closures in the area. A lot of machines are going for scrap only the CNC and newer stuff are getting picked up.:D

yeah but if you bought her now for $59, may seem like a good price but you'll keep paying and paying and paying.

Michigan and Pennsylvania? You Northerners always get the good deals. :(

For the right price, I'd drive up there and get one. ;) Don't know what I'd do with it just yet but I could brag like you guys then. :D

John My friend just bought a little beauty here in scotland for £80 plus delivery ,and was pleased to get it. It seems to be the bigger ones no one want's.That's what I have observed here in the uk that was a beauty you had John went cheap too wish I could have bought it but it was too heavy for me to take up the drive as I have a very steep winding drive up to my house, and then a sixteen inch lift to my workshop .Alistair

Yeah, they are like toadstools here. It has been rainy, and we were out of town for a week and a half. These grew through the cracks in the concrete in front of the garage while we were away.

Ok, I'm moving east. Here in Calif we have two types of old shops. Historical and none... and ya can't touch the historical because they believe it's better to leave stuff right where it was dropped in the weather and let it rust in peace (historically) than let it be restored and used.

They only type we have here is working and none. The working shops aren't selling. The chance of finding a shaper for sale in this province is about the same as Richard Nixon making a comeback for president.

Last one that went on sale was bought by an employee of the business that was selling it. Being a cruel person the owner of the business posted it online anyway with a sold sign.

It sure looks like it. I think Jim sold the table a couple of weeks ago. :( I was watching the auction hoping to see the rest of it. I have a table. ;)

The mill & shapers are Atlas. They are from a shop that used them for production runs for many years, proving the value of Atlas tools despite what some may say about them.

The mill is pretty well trashed, the drive has been modified via torch & hammer, and it will end up as a donor when I get back to it.

I think I can salvage one of the shapers and the balance will also become parts.

Geez, JC - you either got some stout friends or little elves that want to do you favors. I see an Atlas horizontal and an Atlas shaper - is the middle one a South Bend? Where did this happen? You need help cleaning your driveway?

In Sweden u can get shapers for free if u pick them up at old machinery shops. Sweden was never bombed during the war so we have lots of old tools left. Im gonna get one some day!
