I have an Enerpac RC106 cylinder in need of repair.
This should not be a problem, except, like many of my projects, this has turned out to be a learning experience.
Can someone take a few minutes and tell me how to remove the “Rod Guide”? At least I think it is called the Rod Guide. It is the piece just behind the nut on the rod end.
The nut is easily unscrewed, but that’s as far as I can get with the disassembly.
Please furnish some advice.

I'm not familiar with that particular ram but check to see if there's split ring clip behind the nut. The clip is the stop, the nut usually just holds the seals. You have to pry the clip out. Sometimes they'll be a flat spring looking clip with two or three wraps. (Like a section of Slinky)

I found a site that carries a repair kit. It is at:

http://www.blackhawkparts.com/generic28.html

This one has a detail listing of the repair kit and a direct link to Enerpac's technical site.
