Sorry,
Removing foot from mouth, fitting it into milling vise and removing 10 thou

Ouch. :D

To make ammends I'l try to answer it.
They are DC motors shunt wound with 4 leads as opposed to permanent magnet types with two leads.
Field voltage adjustable from 100 to 200 v Dc and armature is 180v DC
These will need something like a KB controller to run them.
Sound expensive at $250 I think I have seen similar on Surplus Shack a lot cheaper.
Not sure as being in the UK many of the US sites don't interest because of shipping.

Is 10 thou enough off the foot ?

No adjustment needed. My post was unclear in terms of it being an ad or not

Lets attribute the whole thing to OCD (old codger disease)

So nothing special or worth messing with

Cue,

Prolly a good motor for a medium lathe or mill but the price really doesnt sound very good. I recently got a shunt wound, 1 1/2hp, 180v off flea bay for $56 plus 20 or so frt..........
