Thanks for the news, Alistair. While I've only asked 2 questions on this forum Thrud provided me sound counsel on both occasions. As well, I've always enjoyed both his serious replies to serious questions from others and his not-so-serious responses on other issues. I'll pray for his health and a quick return to this forum.

Hey Thrud,
Come on man, get posting again. I don't care if you have food poisoning from the meat loaf that's no excuse on this board.
You are *required* to post at least once a week.
We have never met only spoke by emails but you remind me of one of my hero's, Hargar the Horrible. If he can manage to sail the seas in that silly little viking boat and defeat even Mrs Hagar theres hope for you yet.
All the best from the Brits.

John S.

I have a little joke to chear Dave up its a bit riskae so beware, here goes

A prostitute has a tatoo of her two favourite politicians done one of George Bush and one of Tony blair on the top inside of her thighs .The artist is not the best around but produces a reasonable likeness.
She is so proud of her new artwork she tells her first customer if you can tell me who any one of the tatoos are you can have a go for free after sex the customer looks closely at the tatoos the one on the left he struggles is ehh well okay the one on the right is definately eh ahem I'm not sure but the guy in the middle is definately Sadam Hussein .

03-05-2003, 05:53 PM

Get better soon, we miss you brother.

In other words, get your big ugly self back here soon.

03-05-2003, 05:54 PM

You are right in a moment of madness I allowed myself to drop my usual high standards in order to chear my old pal up.sorry if I offended anyone.especially Saddam

03-05-2003, 10:22 PM

If your bones need warmn' ..... you have a free home in Florida.

03-06-2003, 12:57 AM
I know its still colder than a witches tit where you live but man your a CANADIAN living in Edmonton! You've almost made it. Its just over the Rockies and you're in paradise (Vancouver for all you non- Canucks). Get well soon.

Have been on secret misson for US - Bush wants me to "Pigeon Bomb" Saddam's palace but I never get out of the toilet long enough to hang my arse out the back of the Hercules... http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif

And no, its not my sister's meatloaf - that cannot be chewed, machined, cut, hammered, drilled... http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//eek.gif

I feels your pain Brother! I heard that your state has just made it illegal to have extra wives under the age of eighteen. What next, lowering the drinking age in Utah to 99? The outrage! http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//frown.gif

the good new is I figured out what coffin I want. Going to turn an Aluminum ash containr and black anodise it.

The might THRUD LIVES!!!!!!!!!

Boy, I'm so happy that you pulled yourself off your throne long enough to let us know your OK. For a while there I was going to sell all of my tools because with out Thrud on your side machining just isn't worth doing. And the real down side to not having Thrud around is the look on my wife face when I ask her what is the best coolant for stainless steel?
Welcome Back!!!

I would take you up on the offer except I hate bugs. Could not handle the cockroaches or palm beetles. It is bad enough the God allows mesquitos to torment me. And I am not stupid enough to move to black fly and "no see um" territory. I got bit once by the last "no see um" of the season and my arm had a welt the size of a $80 steak on it - little bastards! Bah! Give me more snow! It was -28C the other day - or "cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey". http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif

03-07-2003, 05:59 PM

We talk about you and you show up.

Good to have you back.

I had to take off 2 days last week due to sickness. Thought I had pnuemonia for a while, much better now.

Thrud...My prayers are with You. GOD bless and many years.

03-07-2003, 09:44 PM

No excuse, bugs are not a problem here. Don't have roaches here (at my house), no beetles, no black flys, mosquitos are kept under control by shotguns, and wd 40 keep the no see ums away.

Bring it on brother. If you are serious I will e-mail my address. Hope you like fresh seafood.

03-07-2003, 10:21 PM
And won't he be surprised to see 52 (with this one) postes wishing him well.

Me too dood !

Thanks to all for your concern, but unless a fat hairy guy that farts alot starts haunting your shop - I am proably still alive. So now you know what you have to look forward to when I croak - booo! pass that 3/8-20 LH tap... http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif
