    Cremation urn update

Well, finally got around to finishing the urn for my FIL. Fortunately, he has not needed it yet. It's made of 6061 with o-rings fitted to the ends. Not shown here are #2 socket cap screws which secure the ends. It's roughly 6" dia x 10" tall for adequate internal volume. It is supposed to be a piston "motif" Thanks to all who commented on the nice gesture a "machinist's" urn would be in my original post over a year ago. Den

Yeah, I think I could be happy residing in something like that. I hope they'll sprinkle in a couple drops of high octane gasoline and a couple of Castrol for me to maintain the ambience.

I love Fort Mountain. My cremated ashes are supposed to be scattered over the mountain.

I was thinking they'd charter a small plane but HOW about a rocket? WHOO HOO>. when I go bang I wonder what colors I'll throw?
        Excuse me, I farted.

The real question is would I trust my local jeweler to engrave his name on it. I was thinking of simply using his steel name stamp (which he used on anything soft enough) and just give it a whack on the bottom. Maybe I'll visit the jeweler after all

It has that refined look to it, nobody wants to hang out forever in a tin can, you did him proud...

                  Ya done him proud, NH.
Give that stamp a whack anyway, sure he'd appreciate it.
