Yeah, that's Dave Kush -- he's amazing. He's been a prolific Hobby CNC builder since the CrankOrgan days.

His web page is pretty plain, but a couple of my favorites are his automatic tool changer:http://www.buildyouridea.com/cnc/atc/phase_one/phase_one.html

...and his completely home-built 18x24 CNC router. No fancy mega-buck linear guides, his axis are made with his own linear rail system:

Here, he's casting his only linear bearings from lost-foam molds he made from his own CNC foam cutter. Now that's cool!

He also builds and sells a really nice 3-axis bipolar microstepping motor driver called ArcSin (with an integrated joystick control, no less :)):

Unfortunately, the Arcsin is no longer available.

Is Arcsin for sale? The Arcsin is sold out and there are currently no plans to re-order the boards.

Unfortunately, the Arcsin is no longer available.

"Yes, that's right, back by popular demand, Arcsin2 is coming and it is even better than ever. I learned a lot on the Arcsin, and now it is time to take this project to the next level and see if it can sustain itself. Stay tuned for more!"
