View Full Version : Alum. oxide or silicon carbide to hone HSS?

I'm putting together an order for little stuff from ENCO and one of the things I need is a round stone to hone the concave edges of home-made HSS form tools (used on aluminum) Here's the choices:

Would AO or SC be better? I'm thinking I'll get fine, med & coarse but don't want to get both materials. What say you'uns?

AO for HSS.
