Well before I became computer active and found this site, I somehow found the magazine "Machinists" Workshop" and subscribed.
Several times I have found reference toarticles in HSM that I would have liked to have read, but alas, my subscription was for MW.
I don't really want to buy sub. for both, and wonder which is best for me?
Can yall comment on the emphasis of each publication, so that I can decide to stay with MW or go to HSM?

They're both pretty much the same, in my opinion.
One magazine will have interesting articles one month, and the other will be a sleeper.
Then next month, the tables will be turned.
I usually pick them up at the book store, depending on which one's more interesting that month.

The HSM is the one I keep the sub to along with Live steam I let the MW sub lapse as it seems to cover more gunsmithing and general projects. Not stuff I have an interest in. Some issues are gold and some are ok. I just had to many mags subscriptions and had to cut back. When I find I don't at least page thru and read one or two articles when it hits my mail box thats the time to stop sending in the renewals.:D
