I just installed a powerfeed on my mill table. This is the style that mounts horizontally to fit these square column gearhead mills.

Nice piece o kit but it runs bass akwards!

Toss the lever left and the table moves right, etc.

Not so bad but the limit switch in the middle also works in reverse!

I could just flip it over and remount but I'm wondering if there's an internal wiring problem in the main unit and has anyone ever had the bottom off one of these?
I'm no good chasing fiddly bits around the shop.

I suspect it's similar to the one on my mill drill as there aren't too many low hp versions around. If I recall correctly, the motor leads have quick connect terminals at the end and it should be easy to reverse it. Watch the name/control plate as you pull the halves apart as it is a bit flimsy once it's removed.

Here's a very similar one: http://www.finelinehair.com/home/RF_power_feed_2.jpg

Thanks Den.
Yes that's the type I have
Electricity is obviously converted to DC somewhere in there no?
AC wouldn't care which way things are connected so I'm wondering what to look for.

For the myriad who are hanging on for the solution to this mystery...sent it back.
The entire shipment is arse backwards.

Sleep well.
