Rick. If you have the money and the room for a new machine, then buy the shaper. The shaper may be slow compared to a mill, but a heck of a lot cooler to watch in operation. I just sit and stare watching the ram go back and forth while the chips fly when I am using mine. It's a very relaxing feeling. Good luck.
