View Full Version : Anybody Willing to do Some Machining for Me?

I don't have access to any toys at the moment and I need to have some machine work done. I'm going to check with a buddy of mine later this week to see if he's got time, but I thought I'd ask here in case he's too busy. I've got most of the materials and what I don't have can be made out of aluminum, or whatever else someone's got laying around the shop. It's a reasonably simple job, I think, and not really a rush as I don't need the finished product until about the first week of October. Just be gentle with me when it comes to the price as I'm only a poor, corrupt machinist. ;)

How simple is "reasonably simple"? :)
I'm pretty close to you. PM me with the details and I'll assess whether it's within my capabilities (i.e. skill/talent level).

I have a Southwester Industries Traks Mill. It's A two-axis CNC Milling machine and I'm looking for work.

Have you tried packing clay in and around the part you are machining?
