View Full Version : Hunting for a shaper

Hello folks, Still hunting for a shaper. Smaller size, 7 or 8 incher.Brand is not important but it should be complete and functional. Definitely does not have to look good. I live near Louisville, Kentucky but can drive a bit (Cleveland, St. Louis, Nashville, Chicago.. you get the idea). This is a hobby for me but I enjoy it. My metal machines are old American iron (Logan/Wards lathe, Sheldon horizontal mill), like to play with them. Any suggestions, hints, leads are appreciated. Thanks in advance...

If a fellow was willing to pay what they're asking, Lost Creek Machine (Ottawa, Illinois) has a Rhodes 7" with stand for $750.00 and an Atlas 7" with vise on factory stand for $1200.00. It seems they've had them both for a while?

I have no affiliation with them whatsoever, just passing it along.
