On my morning walk I found this, laying in the weeds off the footpath. At first, due to its heft, I thought it might be silver. But the stamp on the back side informed me otherwise.

Earlier posts have mentioned using pewter for bullets. Is it handy for any other purpose, around the shop?

since it melts about 450 to 475'F depending on its alloy think of it as lead free lead you can hold something to a plate for light machining. Fix the loop and use it as the key ring charm it was. Fort pewter belt buckles and key tag charms:D
