I know many have used viton O-rings as engine rings. Has anyone tried Kalrez O-rings? I didn't read all the fine details about the material properties but one that stuck out to me was the ability to withstand higher temperatures than Viton. Any O-ring experts out there that may be able to shed some light?

Thanks! :)

"Very temp. and chemical resistant. Very big $$$."

He nailed it.

They are used quite a bit in the semiconductor industry because they resist certain chemicals that viton can't handle -- flourine plasmas come to mind. But only where they are really, really needed because of the cost.
