help. To cut a helix angle on a round cylender (dia * PI) / tan of heliex angle * how far you are going to move that is your A move X would be 3. .but what if your cylender is 26. Deg. angle per side how do you fig. that ?

Ok like on an 1. inch end mill 3.inch flute length your going to cut a 30. Deg. Helix angle in it for the flute
1.* PI =3.1416 / Tan of 30. Deg..5774 = 5.441..* 3. = 16.323 now this is a 1 inch end mill all the way back 3. inches
So you would have A axis turn 16.323 and X axis move 3. Inches. This would cut your flute on a 30. Deg Helix angel

But how would you Fig. if the end mill was a 26. Deg per side Angle cutter

Can you clarify your question a bit? I'm not sure I totally follow what you're asking.

YOUR confused. Well, everything after (dia * PI) left my mind wandering. As I read I imagined myself walking through a field of wildflowers with a good beer in hand and a beautiful young maiden in a transparent gown in the distance waiting for me to arrive. Now, what was his problem?
