Had a nice surprise in the post this morning.
The 2008 Mitutoyo Calendar turned up:

Front Cover: http://www.onepoint6.co.uk/NewDocs/2008_Mitutoyo_Thumb.jpg (http://www.onepoint6.co.uk/NewDocs/2008_Mitutoyo.jpg) January: http://www.onepoint6.co.uk/NewDocs/January_Mitutoyo_Thumb.jpg (http://www.onepoint6.co.uk/NewDocs/January_Mitutoyo.jpg)

PS: If anyone thinks these are inappropriate I'll take the thumbnails down and just post the link.

Peter,

Mmm, yes, some may be offended by those thumbnails. To be absolutely sure, maybe you should post the other 10 months so we'll know which ones need to be taken down...

All in good time. As there are 2 months to a page now, the next instalment will have to be on March 1st. :)

Apparently you can't order the Mitutoyo calendar in the 'States -- we're too Politically Correct

IMO the 2007 Calendar in it's entirety would be the benchmark to beat.
Incredibly distracting dammit.:D

BTW didn't even have to buy it over here. Just ring up the nice marketing people at Mitutoyo and they send it straight out.

Wouldnt the young ladies be a bit cold dressed like that in January & February? Up in Scotland we go to Burns suppers to get away from the weather!:D

i used to get them free when my local dealer sent me out the latest full catalogue.....havnt had one in a while...i had almost forgotten:(
now since all my mity gear was in my car when i had the crash at least some of it is now out of spec and its cheaper to buy new than to recal and respec them according to mity... so that means buying new kit which means i get the calender and some aftershave or perfume(for a gift not for me:p ) or another golf umbrella lol!

This is quite/very ON TOPIC - could not be less "OT".

"Calendering" is an established and "long-standing" ??? (sorry - not!!) process industrial process.

Proof?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calendering

There are several fundamental issues here that are right up the HSM-ers street: basic measurements (and urges/compulsions); tones (photography/skin?); class of finish; types of fits (not the ones you throw); form, proportion (not to mention blood pressure); epicurean-ism (food = crumpet); reciprocating motion; incentives to "get on to/with the job - the list goes on and on.

Keep 'em coming (cumming??).

Gotta keep a close eye on that "good stuff" in Asia though.

And you can't get more "Good Asian" stuff that you'd like to get more of than Mitutoyo - can you?

ipso facto - real HSM-er stuff.

I'm sure SHMBO - will thoroughly agree and will even make the phone call and arrange delivery and will even allocate you space on the wall.

Yeah - right.

I'd be worried if Mitutoyo didn't send their calendar out to you/me.

I'd be a lot more worried and upset if they sent the "Michelen" (man) calendar out though!!!.

A friend of mine who used to be super-fit Physical Trainer in the OZ Navy "let himself go" after he got out of the Navy. Now everyone calls him "Michelin Man" - not happy!!

The ones to collect are the Pirelli calenders from the 1964 to 1974
Some of these fetch serious money.
A 1965 one made £451 [ about $900 ] on Ebay this week

Do a search on Tiffiepedia.

Interesting point. The Asian calendars that get tossed around at work are all set up with one photo for each month. I donít think I have ever seen that before.

Of course at work, we all have to be politically correct, so the photos are of Mt Fuji or of a golf course. And if I had the choice, Mt Fuji would be somewhere at the end when compared to the other examples in this post.

Wow, $10. For that price, I'd rather have calendar girls with less clothes ;)
