View Full Version : "Chipped" printer cartridges?

Been getting my cartridges refilled at the local Walgreens,only trouble is even selecting the install new ink proceedure and following the steps doesn't reset the low ink warning on the printer.I am assuming this means the cartridges are chipped.

This is mainly an annoyance,but it would be nice if the level monitor was actually working.The printer is a Lexmark,is there anyway around this besides buying new cartridges everytime?

yes these are mostly chipped I bought from a reputable guy on ebay he sent me catridges which fitted but gave the same signal.he eventually took them back and sent properly chipped ones.It does no good trying to remove the chip at least I wouldn't recommend it.Alistair

Just buy new cartridges off ebay. I got something like 24 cartridges for my printer for something like $25.
